I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of North Carolina. In addition to receiving my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Purdue University in 2008, I completed my predoctoral internship at the Florida State University Counseling Center and my postdoctoral residency at the James Madison University Counseling Center. Over the past 13 years, I have performed psychological evaluations for Disability Determination Services, the Department of Aging and Rehabilitation, Veteran’s Affairs, Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services, as well as various pre-surgical psychological evaluations.
I have wanted to be a Clinical Psychologist since High School with the lofty goal of saving the world one client at a time! My passion in the mental health field is helping clients realize the full potential that exists within them. Whether it is working with an individual experiencing a difficult life transition, a person struggling through the grief process, or a someone battling depression, it is my goal to help my clients achieve all of their unique therapeutic goals.
I live in Danville, VA with my wife Sylvia. In my spare time, I enjoy building custom electric guitars, playing drums, exercising, attending concerts, and hunting.
I have been working in the corporate world for 30 years in various business functions ranging from Information Technology to Compliance, ensuring smooth operations, secure data handling, and adherence to government rules and regulations. I enjoy helping people and solving problems.
In addition to having an MBA from Northcentral University, I am a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Certified Manager, and Qualified Professional of Corporate Real Estate. I have a Black Belt in Chito Ryu and Kung Fu. My pride and joy are my three children, Nathan, Aaron, and Megan. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, trying cuisines from around the world, and spending time with my family.
